Microblading Healing Process
It's important to wait until your eyebrows are properly healed (after your 6 week touch up appointment) before making a final judgement about them. Remember...this treatment is a two step process requiring patience (a 3rd appointment may be needed for some) to get the full desired look and you will not achieve this until after your touch up appointment.

During the first few days, you may experience some minor swelling, redness and tenderness, as well as itchiness around the eyebrow area.

If your eyebrows are kept clean and only use the recommended healing ointment, then only a thin film (not a scab) will appear. The film will make your eyebrows seem much darker than when it was first treated, but this will not be the final color when it is healed. The color that had been implanted will lighten up to 50% during the healing process and the shape will shrink in size. This film will peel off itself after 7-14 days and may not exfoliate evenly. Leave the film alone; picking or scratching will remove pigment and the strokes from the treated area and will result in unevenness and empty spots.

While the film is peeling, it may seem as though the treatment hasn't worked. The color may look weak, orange, pink, or grey or it may seem as though hair strokes and pigment have disappeared.

Why? Microblading is not a deep as a traditional tattoo. Your new skin is healing over the pigment and it will make it look the the treatment didn't work.

You will notice the pigment returning between weeks 2 - 4 starting to come back. If the color is still weak or patchy by week 6, don't worry!!!! In many cases, some unevenness of color is to be expected. We may need to try a different color or technique at your touch up appointment and can monitor your healing after this to ensure your get the desired results.

Healing is specific to each client and it's important that your realize that you'll need a color boost 6 /8/12 months depending on your skin type and lifestyle to maintain the vibrancy of your microbladed eyebrows. After you leave your appointment, your eyebrows will be intact and I will do my very best to help you heal properly by not only verbally but also paper directions on how to heal your brows. Your personal lifestyle choices, age, genetics and skin type will contribute to the retention of your eyebrows. If you sun bathe, tan in beds, have oily skin, use anti aging creams like Retinol, Glycolic Acids, chemical peels or exercise frequently to the point that your sweat a lot, your eyebrows WILL fade faster than anticipated.

Permanent makeup is an ART, not a SCIENCE. your results will vary and using a brow pencil or powder may still be needed, especially when wearing heavy makeup. Please remember that microblading is only to enhance your natural brows, This is not a 'NO MAINTENANCE' treatment, but a 'LOW MAINTENANCE' treatment. No two sides of the face are the same or perfectly symmetrical and while I do my best to obtain perfect symmetry, nothing is guaranteed or perfect.
